William Ladd Taylor Slavery Awaiting Picture Civil War

Description

Well...I've got 2 bookends , they are about in the same condition. I am going to paste description, that I found online, because its desribes it well and correct.

It is a beautiful picture by William Ladd Taylor dated 1901.(But not signed here)

"The subject matter is compelling. It is an elaborately dressed young woman sitting beside the fireplace holding the hand of what looks like her slave. She is lost in thought. I believe the name of this is "Awaiting his return." But I'm not 100% sure. W.L. Taylor (1854-1926) was from Massachusetts and t are many good historical accounts on his life and art if you google him.

Condition is excellent for its age, I think...Remarkable picture.Seems to be lithoprint.

I will really appreciate, if anyone could help me to find out value of it.

THANK YOU!
