These were issued from 1942 thru 1945 in the island hopping campaigns to the USMC Marine Corps. These are well documented. They were not issued with scabbards. Stamped at the ricasso is Legitimus Collins & Co Made in USA No. 191. This is a solid original piece of Corps history. Just under 26" overall length. Blade is just under 21" . handle is original. Most of the Collins Machete found are the common USN mark. The 191 is one of the harder ones to locate.
Have seen them sell at all different prices but dont be fooled by people selling replicas, this one is 100% Real and Original.
