Duck Planter

Category
Other
Condition
Good
Description

This Duck was given to me as a wedding gift from my grandmother. It has been sitting around the house for over 35yrs. I don't know what it is made of, but it turns black very fast after it is cleaned ( pics do not reflect it as cleaned, it was not ). There is an I.D on the bottom as : JB2492 It has very detailed etchings on the wings and feet as well as the eyes. I am curious as to it's origin and material it is made of. Will sell if worth it. Thank you,Robert

Chandelier by Paavo Tynell circa 1940-1960 American

Category
Lamps and Chandeliers
Condition
Excellent
Description

We have recently moved into a home that has a ceiling fixture by Paavo Tynell. We appreciate his work, but are planning on changing the décor of the room and are looking for values and potential places to try to sell it.

This is some of the info we found online so far:

Ceiling Fixture by Paavo Tynell circa 1940-1960 American

Ceiling Fixture has six enameled metal cylindrical shades with perforations with frosted glass diffusers all supported by decorative tubular brass arms. Above the shades there is a classic Paavo Tynell floral detail in brass and enamel. Designed for Lightolier.

I have attached 2 pictures of the our actual chandelier and one better picture I found of it on the internet (it is the same but not ours).

Any information you could provide about the chandelier or its value or places to contact to sell it would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you for your time.

Cassone chest

Category
Furniture
Condition
Good
Description

I have what I believe to be a Italian Cassone chest. It has been in my family for generations and I would like someone to appraise it's value. I think it's anywhere from 250 to 500 years old. I will add more detailed information shortly (measurements, new photos, etc.).

Thank you.

Phil
