I have recently went on a camping trip with a friend and about half a Km into the bush off of a power line in Ontario, Canada, we stumbled upon a bunch of rusty cans. we dug out a bit of the cans and found half of a bottle buried under the ground, we then proceeded to uncover about 10 more bottles, and even one with a rusted lid with unidentified powder in it. some are in very good condition with rusted lids and some have a little crack.
I purchased this sewing machine from an antique store in Reno, NV. The owner of the shop said that he had purchased it at an estate sale in Ohio and was informed that it had been used in a shoe manufacturing factory that had flooded.
The machines cabinet has quite a bit of water damage to the bottom about an inch up from the floor. The cabinet is on casters but the water damage and wood rot have caused one of the casters to fall off. It is missing the small "faux" drawer in front of where the band goes. Some of the thin overlay on one of the cupboard doors is pealing back a little. The finish has worn off on the top.
The machine is in pretty good condition with only a few of rough spots in the finish. I was informed it is a "red eye" design. The registration number is g-9005294. It is NOT electric.
The contents in the drawers indicate that it probably was used in a shoe factory. There are shoe horns, hooks, bone buttons, buckles and more.
The maintanance kit is with it,along with the tiny oil can and the original users guide.
I have not tried to restore or fix anything on the machine or the cabinet. I didn't want to ruin it.
Any information on what it might be worth for insurance purposed and also a possible sale would be greatly appreciated.
I am trying to find information and/or valuation on Dubrovnik crystal stemware. I have 22 pieces in total - (8) large wine glasses, (6) small wine glasses, and (8) martini like glasses. There is a tag on one of the glasses that says DUBROVNIK Hand-cut full lead - crystal expressly for Bamberger's New Jersey - made in Yugoslavia. Thank you in advance for your help!
I have some Villeroy & Boch china and have no idea of the value. It is stamped with the authentic Villeroy & Boch seal on the back of each piece. The items are in excellent condition, most have NO stains, marks, scratches, chips, or cracks. I have 10 PERFECT tea cup/saucer sets, 2 additional tea cup/saucer sets with some wear. I have 12 plates (luncheon/dessert.bread size), ALL PERFECT! I also have a creamer and 2 pieces which appear to be the matching sugar bowl, however one has a notch for a spoon and the other does not have the notch (I am not sure of the difference). All the pieces have the Villeroy & Boch Germany Saar, Rubin seal on the back. I am curious as to the value of these items. I have not yet decided if I want to keep them or sell them. Also these pieces are not availible on replacements.com as I have already looked. See pictures attached, I have more pictures of inside and bottom of each item if necessary. Any information would be appreciated! Thanks in advance!
I recently inherited some glassware. My believe is that is was made around 90+ years ago. Any info would be appreciated. Set consists of 4 different pieces. Water glass, Champagne Glass and Wine Glass. It also comes with a plate.
