1950s 6 drawer bureau

Category
American Furniture
Condition
Excellent
Description

I recently purchased a very heavy light colored (maybe blonde mahogany) 50's? era bureau, dimension 48" tall by 46" across.  It is in close to pristine condition but I'd like to know more about it.  It has six drawers, the top three are hidden behind two large panels that have "scribble" design metal pulls that open to reveal them.  The top three drawers on the interior also have removable glass panels that are in the center of each drawer.  The entire center of the piece angles in towards the middle.  At this point, I haven't found any identifying marks but can't really lift it further to see underneath.  This was an estate sale find that I thought had some great character.  I paid $100 for it and because I love it, I know I got a steal.  Thanks in advance.

Tiger Oak Buffet w/mirror

Category
American Furniture
Condition
Good
Description

TIger Oak Buffet w/mirror and wooden wheels. Believed to be built in 1890-1900. Very nice carved accents. The piece is in good condition. Has a water spot on top and a small area that has a rub mark, other than that no other defect. The top 2 drawers are serpetine in style. Middle drawer is flat and below that are two doors. All drawers and doors are very smooth functioning. I can't find and manufacturing mark/label.

1970's crystal chandelier

Category
Lamps and Chandeliers
Condition
Good
Description

We recently bought a home in a very upscale neighborhood. The dining room chandelier is very elaborate, although not exactly in line with our tastes...

I am looking for any approximations on the value of this chandelier. I am certain that it is from the 1970's, as nearly everything in the home was original.

I have tried looking for distiguishing marks but have found none so far. Where would one usually find this type of mark?

Silver plated creamer & sugar bowl - antique by George Richmond Collis - about 1863, Birmingham, England

Category
Silver and Silver Overlay
Condition
Excellent
Description

I acquired a gorgeous silver plated antique sugar bowl and creamer, made by George Richmond Collis, in Birmingham, England around 1863. They are hand-etched on both sides and are quite substantial, at 11.68 and 9.14 oz. The handles are very unique, as they resemble an ear, with a point on top. The creamer has one handle and the sugar bowl has two large handles.

I'm sure these are valuable, but I have no idea of their actual worth. Since they are something I've never seen before, I would love to find out a little more about them, and what I might be able to ask for them.

Thanks so much,

Karis
