Dining table with 6 Stratford Chairs

Category
American Furniture
Condition
Good
Description

Solid wood (oak I think) dining table that can be expanded to seat aprox 12 people.  Table does not have the original leaves.  The set, which in inherited from my parents; comes with 4 matching Stratford company chairs and 2 matching HFC Co. chairs.  Not sure what HFC stands for but it is stamped on the bottom of each.  All 6 chairs have been rebuilt (reglued) by a furniture maker (but not reapolstered)

The Table is in quite good condition.  Intricate carvings in excellent shape.  Table opens very smoothly and solidly.  The metal locks (when table is closed) work.

Style of table legs sit on wheels.  Originally they were probably metal.  They have been since replaced with plastic ones.

All in all very nice looking set.  I was considering selling it in order to have some more space.

Thanks in advance for your opinions!

Graham

Description

Received this from friends a long time ago, and we're curious about appraisal.

EPNS (Electroplate) teapot, creamer and sugar bowl from EGW&S (EG Webster and Sons).  Art Deco with #116 stamped on bottom of each.  Teapot has black handle, unknown material.  Creamer has one handle same material and plate as creamer.  Sugar bowl has two handles on either side made of same material as bowl.

Found picture online of exact same teapot, but no creamer or sugarbowl.

Dresser- West Michigan Furniture Co.

Category
General Antiques and Collectibles
Description

I know very little about this dresser.  It belonged to my grandmother, it was manufactured/sold from West Michigan Furniture Company (still has brass tag attached inside top drawer).  It is solid wood, very heavy, very sturdy and is a light olive color.  It stands 50 inches high and about 33 inches wide with five drawers. This is it's original finish and it has all of it's original pull handles, etc.  Drawers slide in and out as if they were almost new. There is one chip in the paint/finish at the bottom, but it is in very good condition other than that.

Any information would be helpful.  I'm very curious to know approximately what year it was produced, and perhaps what type of wood its made from...because I'm clueless:)

Thank you, Melissa
