Old Cast Iron Mickey Mouse Race Cars

Category
Disney
Condition
Excellent
Description

I bought these a few months ago at a yard sale. They are cast iron and weigh about 2 pounds each.  They have very little rust or paint loss as you can see in the pictures. All 4 wheels on both cars turn freely.   I have seen them sell from anywhere from $50-$100 on ebay but the ones I have seen haven't been in such good condition like the ones I have.

Godesberg plate

Category
Ceramics and Porcelains
Condition
Good
Description

I have a 9 inch decorative white plate with a black & white picture of Godesberg in the middle (perhaps a transfer) with a raised grapevine edge with a silver/metalic inlay around the grapevine.  The edge of the plate is slightly scalloped with the number 4 impressed on the back.  Along with this one, I have four others with similar scenes.

Antique Roll-Top Desk

Category
Furniture
Condition
Good
Description

Hello! I recently purchased a roll top desk. I have looked over the entire desk but was unable to find much information. My first find was this: http://www.stickleyera.info/AmericanRetailers_files/image007.jpg It's on the underside of the center drawer. After researching Edwards Furniture Co for a bit, I found they were located in downtown Portland Oregon. I combed the local newspapers for a few hours and found that this style desk wasn't sold until around 1909.

This is a picture of my desk: http://instagram.com/p/PcZ9PZETdF/?fb_source=og_big_photo_nf_tail_url&f…{%2210100418941534798%22%3A364982783578990}&action_type_map={%2210100418941534798%22%3A%22instapp%3Atake%22}&action_ref_map={%2210100418941534798%22%3A%22ogexp%22}

I did notice that the underside of one drawer says "sample" with a few numbers.

Also, each drawer is numbered on the underside, which correspondes to the number written on the inside of each drawers cubby.

Unfortunately I have no other information about this piece. Let me know if I can find anything else to help aid in identifying it!

Thank you!
