I have a small unmarked brass mortar and Pestle that stands about 2 inches tall and 2 1/4 inches wide at the rim. The pestle is about 3 inches long. it appears to be quite old, with heavy yellow brown patina, good condition, but I am unsure of the age. (it would be nice to have an estimate of the age and vallue)
I have inherited a large desk of unknown origin. It looks like it may have been used in a bank or post office. I don't know the age of the item, it was a piece that came from a Centenarian aunt's eclectic collection. It has a railing around the top, a large storage area underneath, and brass drawer pulls that are rather ornate. I would first like to know if anyone can identify what this desk was used for, and what it's worth. It currently its taking up space, as I haven't re-purposed it due to the slant on the top of the desk.
