Hand carved wood african woman with shells and metal accents. She sits approximately 3 feet tall and approximately 12 inches wide. I can't find any apparent markings unless I'm missing it. It belonged to a 2 star General in WW2 whom passed away quite some time ago and the guy that was his roommate was given everything he owned. He's a friend of my brothers.
I bought a framed print that I have uploaded the signature that's on the bottom front right corner. I have also uploaded a photo of a label from the back. Also the print (Tolbooth) is uploaded as well.
If anyone has any input I would so appreciate it.
I didn't know what category to out thuis in so...
The item is a small China plate, about 5 inches in diameter. Tbere is a barometer/thermometer in the center. The back has the markings "Decor Main Halga Paris, France". There are no other markings.
The pattern comes up Limoge on every scan I've done but I can't find anything with this barometer.
Any help?
