Mahogany Etagere?

Category
European Furniture
Condition
Fair
Description

My grandmother. born in 1895 from Bel Air, Maryland bought this in the 40's from an antique dealer in that area near Baltimore. It may be very very old. I just know nothing about this piece.

(I saw only a slightly similar one on the internet that was from England (George IIII?)

I do not even know if it was incorrectly called an "etagere". I am not sure what to call this piece. Thank you for your replies or any history !!!

It does seem rather lightweight for it's size and delicate.  Unfortunately one of the "spires" on the top needs repair .There are a few pieces inside the shelf in the open door that go somewhere also.

i apologize for my camera. It makes lines in its' photos.

1920's Orange Tea Set

Category
China
Condition
Good
Description

I would appreciate any help in trying to identify and estimate the worth of this tea set. I do not know much about this set, but here's what I can tell you:

Description- Orange tea set with nine pieces. Tea pot with lid, sugar bowl with lid, creamer, 2 cups, and 4 saucers. The orange has an iridescence to it as well as the white areas such as inside the cups, and on the saucers. The tea pot, sugar bowl and creamer have an interesting octagonal shape.

Markings- The only marking that I can find on this set is the word GERMANY on the bottom of each piece, except for the cups. I cannot find any maker's mark.

Condition- I've checked this set over and I don't see any chips and only one crack on the handle of the sugar bowl/container. Some of the orange has rubbed off the saucers and lightly off some spots of the other items.

History- This tea set was given as a wedding gift to my great grandmother in 1928. I'm assuming that is was bought new in 1928, but I don't know for sure. I believe that at the time, they lived in or around Buffalo, NY, but again, not sure.

I'd love to hear from you if you have any information in regards to identifying this item. Thank you for your help in advanced!

Antique Oak Table and 6 Oak and Leather Matching Chairs

Category
Furniture
Condition
Excellent
Description

I purchased this antique table and six matching chairs at an antique store about 30 years ago. The chairs have leather seat bottoms.  The table measures 35" x 58" and has two extensions which slide from underneath the table. When the table is extended, it measures 35" x 101".  The height of the table is 29" and there are no markings that I can find underneath the table. I would like to get an approximate appraisal on the table and six chairs.  Thank you.
