most of the items that were in my grandmothers china hutch dated back to 1800's from france.  my great grandmother was sent to the states to be raised by wealthy aunt and uncle.  not sure of her origin but the china and silver are definitely french. 

 wondering if someone can ID this as Prieto pottery, as i think that is what the signature says.

I do not know much about this item. from web research it is dating to 1500's mayan flute there are only acouple similar that I could find
