Beautiful and unusual marble bust of 1920s female (flapper) on base. Two separate pieces. Some wear on piece with most notable on back of head; chips on base. Has not been cleaned.

I don't know when or where this was purchased. It was in my Grandmother's house and my family is from Italy.  I have not been able to find anything that even closely resembles it, so any comments regarding its history and approximate value would be much appreciated.  

 I bought  this vase at an auction in a box of other articles about

20 years ago.  I think it is  bronze, has flowers, a butterfly and is marked 

E Fuchs.  And mounted  on what appears to me as a marble base.  It is a bit over

8" tall. Can you identify it? I've searched E Fuchs but have found very little. Does it

have any real value? Thanks, Norm

This hung on the wall of my grandparents house as long as I could remember.  When they moved to Florida in 1974 they gave one of the pair to my mom and the other to my aunt.  I got it when my mom passed away.  My aunt still has the other I think. I was always told that it came from Germany but it was obviously made in the USA so I can't be sure of its origin or even its age.  I know that the glas has gotten a little smokey colored over the years but it is still in really good condition.

There is a blue tag on the back as shownin the pictures.  The numbers on it are:

on the left of the tag:  244651 Made in USA

above the blue tag:  8362

 Unable to decipher marking at the back. Appreciate some information regarding origin etc.

Purchased at an estate sale and added some paint ourselves. Head is a removable knife.

Never used. Purchased from yard sale.
