The size is 16 3/4 inches across the bottom and 21 1/2 inches tall. I found the item at a junk store and planned to give it as a gift. When I opened the drawers and discovered the way it was put together, I decided that it had to be an antique. I then researched it online and discovered that it was a rare piece made by Carl Forslund of Grand Rapids Michigan. There is a paper on the back in excellent condition that lists: Carl Forslund Quaint American Furniture Grand Rapids Michigan. It is in excellent condition.
We found this old safe in a house we were cleaning out. We don't know anything about it, and would love to find out more, as well as an approximate value (or where I could go in the Austin, TX area to have appraised). The only marks I can see on the safe are the name of the company (Herring Hall Marvin Safe Co). And then under it i can see some numbers beginning with 194. I don't know if this is the beginning of a date from the 1940's or a part of a serial number or what? Any information you can provide would be great!
This is an original oil painting by Earl Daniels on canvas. The size of the canvas painting itself is 8x10 and sits in a goldish wooden frame. The painting is of/called Anza-Borrego Desert, Calif. Earl Daniels signature is on the front, in the lower right hand corner. I believe this is also his signature on the back of the canvas (see photo), but not completely sure of that.
It is a Hidden Fortune Cigar box with the stamp still on it. The stamp says 50 cigars class A Tax paid Stamp Act of 26 series 112. It has a price written on it that says $1.40. It is factory No. 857 for the State of Pennsylvania.
