Ladies vintage metal shoulder strap clasp closing vanity purse gold tone with mirror. Chain strap hangs 24 inches from shoulder. 4 inches wide, 3 1/2 inches tall. No manufacturing markings.

This is a Japanese storage or travel trunk, possibly used for a dowry. It has reinforced corners and hardware front and back that a pole went through, I'm guessing for two men to carry it. (?) Needs some restoration, especially the underside of the lid, but sound.

The front and the top of the lid has a symbol.

I don't know much about this item, it was in my mother-in-laws house. My wife is conducting an estate sale. I found one of the exact same ones for sale online for $695 with this description: Vintage Framed Giclee on Textured Board White Floral Bouquet by Blum. It is 3 feet by 4 feet including the frame.
