Marshland painting by Matson

Category
Paintings
Condition
Good
Description

This is a square painting of marshland/wetland with trees and seagulls in the skies.

The colors are very vivid, the painting is signed "Matson" in the lower left corner.

After doing some research, I think this signature belongs to an American artist Richard Matson.

This painting is likely to be a "plain air" piece, as there is some paint on the back of the board. Not sure if it belongs to his Key West series.

I also think this piece is vintage, as the frame looks old.

Please notice that in the middle of the painting there is a spot that looks like somebody placed a piece of fabric on wet painting. See pic for close-up of this particular spot.

Red Seal Collector Series - Fritz Kreisler

Category
Music and Music Instruments
Condition
Excellent
Description

I've tried doing some research, but having no luck with the "Red Seal Collector's Issue."

This particular recording seems to be on the market in a 33RPM version and originally recorded around 1926. I'm assuming this was issued in the 50's but the only marking in the runout is the B8RW and VID.

The sleeve is in good condition other than wear at the bottom where the record was dropped in. The vinyl is red and Mr. Kreisler's work is somewhat rare.
