This is a painting that I purchased at a thirft shop. It is signed and dated on the back. The date is 1968 and the signature is the same as that in the image that I have included.
There is also a description of the scene but it is obscured by what appears to be a canvas patch. There is no damage noticable on the front of the painting.
I have a lot of Pope Gosser Roslyn rose pattern and I’m having trouble finding any info online. It is not a complete set but does have quite a few pieces. Both the two platters are broken, but I have the pieces to repair. Everything has crazing but are in good shape.
This belonged to my great-grandmother (I'm 37) who gave it to my father when he was young so it must be at least a hundred years old. I have not been able to find anything like it online, not sure why. It's a wall phone that holds a liquor decanter. There is a label engraved in the wood on the front that says GES GESCHĂśTZT which apparently means it was made in Germany. Jim bean made wall phone decanters but I have not been able to find anything that looks like this. Showed it to an antique dealer who had never seen anything like it. He researched it extensively as well and could not find any information. He offered to buy it but I declined because I would like to know more about it.
