Greetings,
I was wondering if you could provide me with information regarding the stove in the picture below? It was made by The Wehrle Co. Newark Ohio around 1900. I haven't seen another like it on the Internet and would appreciate any information or the value of stove you could pass along.
Best Wishes,
Dave
On the back of the tray it is marked, Wilcox I.S. Ashley 422/2 (numbers are hard to read, not positive the last one is a 2).
Tray measures 16 x 22" (not including the handles). There is a rope trim going around the tray. There is engraving on the tray itself.
Serving pieces include coffee pot, tea pot, sugar bowl and creamer. The pieces have the same ornate "rope trim" and on the top of the creamer and sugar bowl there is a crown ornament.
i have no idea what year this was made nor anything about it. it just looked old and like something that shouldn't be thrown in a dumpster. i've tried to look it up by serial number but haven't been able to find that model. maybe it used to have a wooden casing around it? could be that's it's just a plain metal register, too. either way any help in determining where the best place for this register would be and what it's actually worth is a great help.
