Cannot determine if this is just a print or actual painting. Have taken it out of frame and it appears almost too smooth to have been a painting, don't see brush strokes, etc.. Have researched Astley DM Cooper's work and cannot find anwhere where his prints or reproductions were sold so that is leading to some confusion for us to determine it's worth. Was in famiy for several gerenations so know it is old, frame it is in is quite old/dated. Have seen several of Cooper's paintings listed at auction online, yet none that are same as this picture.
Brass Oblong shaped bpwl, with chain to hang (?). Has etched design at rim and sides, each end side has shape of what looks like a serpent (?). Inside of bowl is silver colored. Believe entire thing is brass, but not sure, has subtle hammered type pattern
