Acquired from a friend in 1970's when they moved. Said it belonged to her Grandmother. Do not know how old it is. Other than 416 stamped on the back of unit there are no labels. Appears to be dark stained mahagony. Leaded glass panels in top doors. Wheels at bottom of legs are wooden.
I recently came into possession of this vase. A note from the previous owner found inside gives some information:
"Early 19th century 15 1/4. Pottery Temple vase. Rolled Scalloped Rim. Scrolled applied handles. Beautiful deep set color. Figure in garden scene. No marking. I paid 425 in 1982 but I don't know what the price is today."
As you can see by the photos, there is a piece missing from the top. I was wondering if you have further information on this vase and what it could be worth?
This is an original globe, on the globe lies a "sculpture" of a "Fire in a hand with a decorative ring." Raised lettering on body and umbering- 260. Made in Germany. It still works properly. Once again, this is in excellent condition. The date made could range anywhere from between 1870 to 1900.
