Found while digging in Ottawa County, OH 1960's near Lake Erie. This unusual spoon has settings for 3 gems. One gem is missing. Unsure what they are. The spoon has very unusual writing on every area. There is a tiger head, mermaid body with wings on the handle. Would love to know some history behind it.
Antique cast iron garden seat armchairs. Set of 2. Have lyre back design with scrolled and floral elements. 32" high, 20.5" wide, 22" deep, seat height 16", depth 17" I inherited them them my 95 year old grandmother, who had them for approximately 65-70 years (I don't know where she got them, or how old they actually are). They have a few layers of paint. Are not rusted. The chair on the right side of photo has no damage (very good condition); however, the chair on left side of photo has minor damage (look about 2" up from seat on right side of back, near arm, you will see that about 1" of cast iron is broken out off to the right of the lyre). It is being sold with the matching table between the chairs (although I don't know if it was actually part of the original set (has same legs and design, but don't believe it to be as old as the chairs since it is lighter weight).
I recently acquired this chest from an estate sale. I believe I am now the 2nd owner. The material on the lid is in near perfect shape. No tears, discoloration, etc. It comes with all original hardware and the original $250.00 guaranty card.
