This is one of the earliest universals known. in the Thomas Edison papers Thomas Edison stated that he personally did final adjustments on the first 1200 or so made and it seems that there were around 5000 made. This ticker was found in the basement of a long time Western Union employee after he passed away. Unfortunately it appears that this unit was well used and the damp basement shows on the metal surface(rust). It is however all original. email or call for more pictures or to discuss further.
