Hello. I'm new to the community. I collect figurines and I picked this one up at a yard sale this past weekend. I have searched everywhere, including eBay, and I cant seem to find anything like it. There was a piece of tape on the bottom that said "Cherie Halstom, 1961". Maybe this was who it once belonged to and the year she received it. Was hoping someone could tell me a little about its value. Thanks.
A 5 cent piece, date 1888. On the front it has a large number 5 with stars in a circle around it. On the front it has United States of America. On the back is some type of shield with In God We Trust and at the bottom has the date of 1888. It is a rather dark color. Don't believe it is actual silver but not sure.
This is what it has on it. Wheeler & Wilson Co. Bridgeport Conn. D-9 No. 2617059 Patented with dates before the 1900's, with gold looking coin in base. It still workes great.
