Description

This porcelains] chair was imported from Italy sometime during the 19th and 20th centuries. It belonged to my grandfather and was given to me in 1960. It is rather beautiful and elegant. I can't seem to find another one like it anywhere.

50%Gold + 50%Copper Alloy Flatware

Category
Other
Condition
Excellent
Description

My dad has been trying to find a reasonable buyer for this remarkably odd and beautiful set of flatware. We have had it tested at 4 different places.Three different places told us that the set deffinately had gold in it,yet they couldnt tell what other kind of metal was with it. Two people at the last place concured that these were 50%Gold/50%Copper alloy. the problem is that it would be very hard to extract only the gold. A good buyer would have a great enjoyment for luxury and oddity, or would be willing to destroy this set trying to extract the ounces of gold that are in it.

John & Ralph Widdicombe Bedroom Set

Category
American Furniture
Condition
Excellent
Description

This is a full bedroom suite including a full size headboard, footboard, and rails, a desk with seat, a dresser, and two nightstands. We aren't sure of the date. On the back of several of the pieces is scratched 1947, and on the rails there is a stamp that says 1969 with another stamp on top of it that says 1976. See pic. Ralph Widdicombe worked for the John Widdicomb Co. until 1951 when he retired, so I am fairly certain these pieces are from before 1950. It has a Grand Rapids certification number of F-5466. These pieces were left in a Lake Cottage my parents bought that they were going to demolish. They are in fantastic condition.
