THESE COMMEMORATIVE PLATES WERE GIVEN TO MY GRANDFATHER IN THE 1950'S BY HIS LOCAL CHURCH IN MALIBU, CA. NOT SURE IF THERE WERE 8 AT ONE TIME, BUT I'M ONLY IN POSSESSION OF 7 TOTAL. THEY PLATE ITSELF IS EGGSHELL WITH SEAFOAM GREEN, ALL SURROUNDED BY AN INTRICATE 18 OR 24 KT GOLD DESIGN. ALL PLATES ARE RIMMED WITH THE SAME GOLD. THE BACKS HAVE THE HISTORY OF THE CHURCH AND IT'S FOUNDERS. EACH PLATE IS STAMPED IN GREEN "EGGSHELL GEORGIAN HOMER LAUGHLIN MIDE IN TH U.S.A. K 52 N 5. TRAGICALLY, THE CHURCH A FEW YEARS BACK WAS DESTROYED IN A MALIBU FIRE. I WOULD JUST LIKE TO KNOW IF ANYONE COULD GIVE ME A BALLPARK ESTIMATE OF WHAT THESE MAY BE WORTH. I'VE FOUND MANY SINGULAR PLATES SIMILAR TO THIS ONLINE; BUT HAVE YET TO FIND A MULTIPLE QUANTITY...CAN ANYONE HELP ME???
it has a trade mark crown between the date(1883) the name F.B. Rogers silverco. is beneath the crown and the words silver on copper is under name, and the number 86 is stamped under that. will post photo later.
It is an odd shape. It has two handels at the top. It has gold around the top and middle. It also has a painted scene of a country house with a lake and birds flying and trees. It also has blue flowers at the bottom. It also has the wreath with the N in the middle on the bottom of the vase..
