These lamps are brass with painted areas that are chipping off, creating a nice aged patina. There's a switch at the bottom and one at the top. I can't find any "markings" on the lamps, just the pieces of a small paper label on each lamp that reads "Rembrandt Lamps". I'd like to know when they were made, if they are in fact Rembrandts, and what they are worth today.
thank you!
5 beautiful hand made wollen dolls made by Lilian Lunn. All hand signed by Linian Lunn. Great condition. I couldn't uppload more than 4 photos but they were quite good quality and show most of the collection.
I'm not shure these figures are authentic. I've tried to find some more information about them and have found many souvenir catalogues from museums etc. Lilian Lunn has had exibitions in Great Britain, USA, New Zealand and Australia (as far as I know).
I have copied some info from one of the booklets:
"Mrs. Lilian Lunn of Buxton has now created over 283 minature figures which illustrate 700 years of costume design and include many personalities of history, stage and screen, and queens of England. All the figures are from 12 t0 14 inches high and made throughout by stitches. Using simple materials: cottonthread, silk thread, with remarkable skill, the most superb and convincing minature models have been created. No woven materials are used at all, even if lace is required on such a small scale, Mrs. Lunn makes this herself to her own design with the finest lace-mending thread."
This is all I have manage to find out on my own. I have no idea how many of this dolls were made in total and how much are they worth. I couldn't find any of them for sale. However they are still exibited in one of Cheshire Museums in United Kingdom. They are absolutly adorable and I will be happy to keep them if they are not authetic, but it would be lovely to know that I could sell them if I will be in need.
I hope some of the informations helps.
Many thanks for reading all the boring stuff and for all the help :)
The interesting thing about these darts, is that the main portion is brass, but they contain wooden feathered flights, but they do not screw in. Instead, they slide in.
The Painting/print/I have no idea is a self portrait of Van Gogh. It was framed and their is an inner material, also covering the picture, like a border. The estate sale was amazing and had so many quality items. What is this that I have?
