Watch has a copper color on the back, worn look, some scratches on the face and silver in color. The inside mechanics of the watch are pristine, mint, perfect condition, like it was made yesterday. Serial number 25779683 Waltham Watch CO. USA 8 DAYS is engraved on the plates holding the gears in place. Looking to hopefully get it appraised, to find out if it is worth getting fixed. Does not work.
I have tried researching this before without luck. It is made of some kind of grapevine type material. The wheels look to be hammered as do the springs. It is lined with a black cloth material which matches the top. The top looks like it would go up and down but I was afraid of breaking it so didn't try. I list it as a toy but two different people suggested that it was a salesman's sample.
Any information at all would be appreciated. If you can help with a value that would be nice also.
Thank You
This was brought to Florida from New Jersey. It has been in the attic since the early 1980's. It is signed Applegate in red in the lower right corner. Any information, value etc would be appreciated. We are trying to research it before trying to sell it.
This sugar bowl should have a lid, I think. It's a double handled bowl. It has a spot where it's copper colored under the silver. Not sure what this means. Silver plated, maybe?
I know it is a Gruen Quadron, 15 Jewel marked 4adj with #155 works. It was made prior to the point in time when a small second hand was added at the bottom of the dial. I believe that was added in 1924. Inside of the back of the case is marked:
Gruen
Gold filled
Reinforced
with extra gold
Wadsworth

155 60
Any information at all or a value? Are they collected for parts? Sorry for the bad pictures, new camera.
