Art Nouveau? Royal Dux Figurine.. Nude, seated cross legged on a stand with cobalt blue drapery & gilt accents.. Cobalt blue cap with gilt trim, brown hair. Has 'ROYAL DUX BOHEMIA' pink triangle with an acorn with an 'E' therein. On the LHS of the triangle, next to the blue 'test spot', is the number '2998'. There is also a blue stamp to the LHS of that. In excellent condition, no cracks, crazing or repairs.. All the gilt is in superb condition.. It came to me from my Grandfather, who was an avid collector of Royal Doulton figurines (all delicate 'girly' stuff tho). Whilst I could have chosen any of the Royal Doulton, this was the only one that caught my eye, I've loved her from the moment I laid eyes on her. I've no idea of her age or insurance value.. I did choose 1 piece of Royal Doulton, more 'Manly' than the ballerinas, etc. It's a large (15"), heavy wall plate, showing an embossed/raised picture of the 'HMS VICTORY' under full sail. The plate is brown in colour. I've been told that it is called a 'Charger', but once again, I'm not sure of this, or it's insurance value.. Can anyone help?..
