This is a metal wall hanging by sexton usa 1967. A shirtless boxer with red knee length trousers with three buttons at waist and black belt and black boots. boxer has hands in a fighting stance. no picture/ broken camera
The headboard and footboard is carved. The footboard is curved. There is a number 3 located on the headboard. I am not sure if the 3 is a patent number. If it is Biddingtons Patent chart has the number 3 listed for 1836. The bed is a little larger than a twin bed.
Needs polished but no flaws. The pattern is not the grape finials. Set is original Coffee pot, Tea pot, covered sugar, creamer, tray all footed. Displayed only, never used to serve. I need to know pattern, when it was manufactured? silver over copper was stopped in the 1940's. What would be the aprox. sale price?
When this set was purchased, the upholstery was literally in rags. Had pieces recovered. Didn't have any idea about the style of furniture, but just liked it for my livingroom. I decided to try to sell set on Craig's List, but immediately got feedback suggesting that I research more before pricing the items. After further research, the furniture appeared to mission oak from the arts and crafts movement. Because of hardware on sides and underneath, the settee may have had a foldout bed at one time.
