In researching John Robert Boultbee, I know he was famous as an artist and teacher, starting a trend painting farm animals. He produced many paintings throughout the late 1700's. I believe the largest collection of Boultbee paintings makes its home at a horse racing/breeding facility in England. I also was made aware that the last Boultbee painting sold at aution at Sotheby's, apprx. 1982, was SMALLER than my painting as sold for well over $80,000.00. Manufactured in early 1930's and bought by Bing Crosby and Dixie Lee for their son Gary Evan Crosby. It is made by Reed & Barton, stamped with an item #230L. Had been repaired somewhere along its lifetime on the bottom, without much surface alteration on the top side. It has Gary Evan Crosby engraved into the top surface, also "The Three Teddy Bears" pictorial story is engraved on the top.

I have a difficult time describing this piece as it is really quite fetching. It has a nearly unblemished wooden body, perhaps black laquer as well. It has a steel frame and handle that has essencially no rust. Metal wheels with white tires. It has an oil cloth hood that is in terrific condition. A three teired pad for the inside that is quite old but not cracked with origianl leather strap buckles. The inside is smooth and has comversion available for a toddler or two to sit upright.

It is a Edelweiss Cuckoo Clock. It says 1243 on it so I assume that id the model number. I know its atleast 40 to 50 years old but could be older for all I know. Im looking to get a price and sell. Its in great condition.
