I previously had a much smaller version of this set which I purchased in Hong Kong in 1965 and it was destroyed in a house fire a few years later. This set is identical to the one I purchased except for the fact that it is about twice the size of my earlier set. My insurance company paid me $600.00 for the set which was destroyed (in 1973). Each piece has three or more intricately-carved, concentric balls in its base. The "dark" pieces were soaked in tea by the creator thereof.
