The building I used to work at has been there since the late â50s. Nobody knows anything about this painting or how old it was. They didnât want it anymore so I gave it a home. Itâs signed âLee Reynoldsâ and the back is numbered #138756(?). It has lots of texture and is about 4ft x 3ft.
Iâve read about a Reynolds creating an âaffordable artâ studio in California around the 1950âs. Thatâs about all I know. Would appreciate any insight.
Many appraisers have inspected but none have identified. Stamped under glaze with two swords with rounded pommels and letters or numbers in each cross section. 25cmÂČ. Messien expert in New York wasn't sure due to stamp not being done in cobalt blue. But majority of those who have inspected claim mid 18th century. Please help.
I purchased this table a couple days ago and it was listed as old but not vintage, when I started taking it apart to clean it seem to me that this table is not vintage but antique. Any feedback would be greatly appreciate. It has a marble top and looks to possibly be walnut with burl wood inlays.
