Autumn In The Park

Category
Paintings
Condition
Good
Description

This is an approximately 12in. x 21in. watercolor painting on what appears to be fine cotton fiber paper.

The artist is scribed as Geo (George) Brickman.  The date is unreadable, but the paper looks to be very old, and the card stock backing is very aged and crumbly on the edges.

The painting is of a bay scene with high waves on an apparently stormy day splashing against a rocky shore.

I have enclosed a shot of the entire picture, and a close-up of the artist's name.

To aid in identifying the painting I have enhanced the photos of the picture and name, and included copies of each.

If anyone has any knowledge of this artist, or this painting, please contact me at: [email protected]

Vintage hats 1920s-1960s??

Category
Vintage Textiles and Clothing
Condition
Excellent
Description

I acquired these vintage hats from a family member last year. I am not sure how to look them up, I do not even know what the hat names are. I know a lot of the say they are Union Made. All are in great condition as far as i can see they are in bags. I'm not sure what materials they are made out of, that's why I was hoping I could get a correct time period, name, or style of the hats, and value. I think they are maybe from the 1920s through the 1960s, but I'm not sure on that, could you please help me?

There are some labeled Union made JA 230526. That is a cream colored hat with netting and a bow.

Another is Union Made KW 171010. That is a beautiful navy blue hat with decorative netting and a blue feather.

Another is Union Made but the label is covered with another label that says "Mr. Joel". that one is black with metting and a bow on top.

Another one I have has no labels in it at all, It is a fueshia pink with netting and bows around the top.

Another one I have has no labels inside but it has beautiful black feathers covering the whole hat.

Again a hat with no labels it is a tan/brown with cream colored netting, and fur wrapped around the front and a brown bow in the back.

Another Union Made hat CA 163330. Its a beautiful (looks to be satin) black and netting on the front half of the hat.
