This is a queen-sized, (we think) Queen Anne-era bed. Not sure what type of wood - possibly cherry? Interestingly, the bed frame is about 1 foot longer than our extra-long mattress, in case that helps identify the time period.
Solid Birch table w/ 4 original chairs and 2 leafs in their original velvet covers. Was sold to me at a garage sale for $200. Has Jefferson Woodworking Co. stamped on the inside rim of the table. Would like to know the value of this set and around when it was made. There are a couple of scratches and water stains, overall not too bad. I have thought about refinishing it, but had heard that if you refinish an antique the value would drop dramatically. Electric bulb inside carriage. White carriage pulled by two white horses. Driver, Man & Woman in victorian clothing. Reins from horses to driver missing. Push button switch on top of carriage. No observable cracks, chips or crazing.
Could not find anything on the net about the manufacturer. The closest is Royal Sealy, but, I don't think this is from them.
