First of all, I am looking for an appraisal for my own personal information. I love old Roman jewelry and I am not going to sell this ring or the others that I have. I am a seeker of knowledge and would absolutely love to know what information there is to be had about this ring.

What I know about it is that the person I bought it from says it is a zoomorphic signet ring from between the 1st and 3rd centuries. It is a size 7.5 and is made of bronze. It has an extremely nice, rather thick, dark green patina.

The symbol looks like a bird to me, but I may not be correct in this thought.

I don't really know anything about this. It belonged to my Granny.  I am trying to find out what it is worth. On the tag it says:

<p>This Budda head was rescued in Saigon,after a bombing during the Vietnam war.It among several other items were in my Uncles estate which was left to me.Among the other items are several ( God&#39;s)&#39;All these items are brass ,I&#39;m not sure about the Budda head.</p>

This has been in our family since the 1950s. I was once told this sterling silver butter box was made in Germany in the 1800s but that's pretty much all I know. It's dimensions are about 5 inches by 7 inches and roughly 6 inches tall. I'd love to have more info and an approx. value.
