This is a pickle crock made by Ransbottom Brothers Pottery out of Ohio. Probably 1920/30's. They are selling online for between $60.00- $125.00. (Ones made by Red Wing out of Minnesota are at the high end of that est.) In 1916 the Ransbottom Pottery was the largest producer of stoneware jars. After 105 years in business, the company closed in 2005. I have a 2 gallon Ransbottom that has sat on the floor beside my fridge for 15 years, until now I had no idea who made it so Thanks. :)
