Re: 1888 letter
I think this letter is answering a legal question from one person to the Hon. PW Baughman on behalf of a person. Telling them what they have to pay on a property. and what the other person is responsable for. If you split something with a relative and you don't want to pay for taxes that is not yours, understand? Baughman is telling them this is what you have to pay for , not the other properties. The letter and stamp is not the worth here, but what the history to your family.. Do you know if you were related to the people mentioned?
I looked up the names on the letter, I didn't find anything...The fun part for you. you have the Lot # numbers and can look at old maps is see the properties mentioned...
I see letters like this for sale from $6.00 to $40.00....
the stamp is very fuzzy, but again most stamps like this are worth about $6.00..is it a 2 or 3 cent? washinton?. People think stamps are worth tons of cash and they keep them thinking they can retire with them,,,,,,,,If you have 10.000 stamps you need 10.000 buyers, looking for that one stamp for their collection. If you have the time to sell each one for a $1.00 then you have $10.000 worth of stamps....the time it takes to look up that many stamps is Crazy I know I have over 10.000 stamps...Good Luck.
