This is a Alfred Meakin “Melton” water bowl and pitcher set. In pristine condition. Bought it at a yard sale and curious to know more about it and it’s value.
Meakin is a well known producer of earthenware, particularly dinner services, Wash Basin sets like this tend to date from the turn of the 19th century and were made in huge numbers in the years before indoor plumbing was common. Values peaked back in the 1980's when a Pitcher & Bowl set like this would sell for over $250.00, now they often go at auction for under $75.00.
