Antique Austrian ceramic vase

By peggy g, 3 February, 2009
Description

My mother had a vase that looked exactly like this, that is why I bought this on ebay from an antique dealer in Indiana, (my mom lived in Missouri and my brother moved to Indiana after she passed away).  I am not sure if this is my mother's, as my brother may have sold it after our mother died, he won't say.  If it is our mother's, I have a black and white photo of it on top of a piano with my grandmother in the foreground.  I also have color snapshots of it when it was at my mother's house. I just don't know if they made other vases exactly alike back then or not.  I have never seen one just like this anywhere, I just wonder if anyone else has.  I hope someone can help me solve this mystery, it is eating me up and my brother won't talk about it.
