Antique bag

Medium: Velvet, silk and pewter. 
 
Object Dimensions: 10 inches from the shield on the fron tothe bottom .
The handle is 31/2 inches long. The bag frame is 5 1/2 inches wide. g 
 
Condition: There isn't any damage or wear.
 
Color: Black background with cream, purply blue and light  and darker pink
flowers.
 

History:

Item History: The Evening Bag was given to me as a child by a very elderly 
lady that my mother used to go to her house to do her hair. It was 62 years 
ago in Bristol. Mum said it had a curved handle so that lady's could wear it
on their hand while they were dancing with their partner and it would follow
the curve of her dancing partner's back. It seems to have a Hallmark on the 
back of the handle, 2 small rectangular shapes on the inside of the top 
part of the bag and 3 initials (T D T I think) on the outside of the top 
part of the bag. It seems to be made out of Pewter. The velvet is attached 
with a thread and the interior silk lining is hand sewn on. There are 2 
sections to the inside of the bag.
