Description

17in wood puppet/marionette. Hand painted, hand carved face.

Found at a farm sale in central Iowa. The lady I bought it from said it is very old, from late 1800s.

But I'm thinking it is from 1920s-1930s based on the clothing and nails. I can barely see that the feet are hinged with cut pieces of aluminum can that have some print I can't see.

I am trying to add more pics

Any estimates and opinions on age would be appreciated.
