Description Top Width-11.5", Height-10.75 inches, Base Width-10", circumference approximately 36". The planter was a gift to one of the caretakers, my great grandfather, from the John Roebling estate (builder of the Brooklyn Bridge) in New Jersey. I can't prove provenance, but this was the case. The planter was then given to my parents as a wedding gift over 65 years ago. Pot is in good shape except for a soldered repair on the bottom which can't be seen. Scenes are all different and appear to be hand carved. The handles on either side appear to be elephant heads. Is either Chinese or Japanese and probably from the 19th C if not earlier.
