Antique Cannon

By ptigert, 18 July, 2010
Description

My family has traveled all over the world and all I know about this item is that it was purchased in Singapore sometime during the 1960's. My mother was told that it was a Dutch firearm that was used on the boats when they came to Indonesia. It was mounted on the "railing" or “gun wall” of the boat. I am not familiar with artillery terminology, but that is the best description I can give. We are curious about what this cannon is and how it was used, where it came from and its worth.
