Description

I received this piece in 1969.  My mother bought it at an estate sale, it was in a box of items she purchased for $1.  It has a repair on the top rim, a pie shaped piece that was broken out and glued back in.  There is also a small chip out of the very top "coffee bean" on the lid. I can hardly see the potter's mark, but it's green and seems to be an oval with "sun rays" coming off of it. There is some kind of writing under the sun, but I cannot see it clearly.  I'm not sure if the lid is the original, as it does not match perfectly.  Can anyone tell me about this piece and if it has any value?
