Your set is a Japanese reproduction of English "Blue Willow" Transferware which was first popular in the mid 18th Century. Pieces marked "Japan" generally postdate 1921. Blue Willow ware has never really been out of production, so values for it tend to be modest, whole sets today often sell for under $150.00 at auction.
