Re: Antique Doll with Composite Arms and Legs
Your doll is a Shirley Temple look a like from the 1930's. She appears to be in very good condition although her value would greatly increase if you had her face professionally restored at a doll hospital. Her eyes are called flirty and were intentionally designed to move back and forth. Her size is not very common either. In her current condition I would price her around $125.00 after professional restoration her value would double. Keep her in a controled environment to prevent further deterioration, water is not a friend to composition dolls, and don't push on her teeth anymore let a doll hospital take a look inside to see what's going on with them.
Re: Antique Doll with Composite Arms and Legs
Thank you so much for the information on the composite doll. I had almost given up on finding out any information. Several months ago I had a lady tell me that the doll reminded her of a Shirley Temple, but she was not certain. I will follow your suggestions on her care. Many thanks for taking time to give me the information. Susan
