This is a Victorian piece in walnut, it's in the Renaissance Revival style, which was popular from the 1850's-80's. It's a nice piece, but demand for furniture of this type has nosedived since the 1990's. Still nice examples like this still sell at auction in the $300.00- $500.00 range.
