The lid comes off and also closes down fully. Has chains on each side of top lid. Veneer around the front of furniture. Removable long box that sits inside and contains 4 small drawers. I'd like to know the wood type, the style and the era and the value of this piece. I bought it from a lady in Mornington Victoria Australia who was an antique dealer. She said it cost her $1,800 AUD.
