Hi there, I have been searching every source I could think of four the past 3 weeks abd have yet to find anything that congress cause to the quality of these shears. I will begin with the box it sits in. I believe this is the original box, it has a crocodile-like texture and the top expands out on all sides massing it wider. The lining if this box is silk and has placements to hold the shears. The shears themselves have very thick handled which I believe are inlaid pearl, with a white metal weaving through with the look of a vine. There is a metal lock below the hinge of the shears and both blades are curved toward the end, while one has a half circle piece missing on the inner edge. The markings on one side are scripted "Griffon" printed Germany, on the other side it is marked 9972 chrome.
