Description
Silk on silk hand embroidered panels set behind glass in a wood privacy screen consisting of four panels totaling ~5' high by 4' wide. The wood has been painted and the hinges are "newer" but the glass and the silk panels look much older. It was bought at an estate auction with lots of late 19th century asian items. The panels are mounted on a frame with a faux? leather (black) backing. There are no distinguishing marks or signatures. It has some small scattered brownish marks on the silk, the needle work is exquisite.
