Antique Inheirited Bracelet

By Lumixa432, 16 February, 2013
Description

This bracelet was given to me, when my great grandmother passed away in 1993. She was around 80 years old. I was told by my grandmother, that great granny got it from 5 generations of great aunts back from me. I am curious to find out what state or country this might be from, what year it might have been in the stores to buy, and how much it might be worth. I have never had it appraised before, and am very curious to find out anything and everything about it. I appreciate any and all help to find out this information.

The only thing I do know, is that at least two of my generations of family, came from Tennessee. Not sure if this bracelet would be from there, because i don't know all of the family history, and where they lived before that time.

Category
Jewelry and Gemstones
Medium
Possibly pewter or something of that nature. Not completely sure. I would be curious to see if it were silver or not, with having it professionally cleaned. I haven't touched it w/any chemicals in fear of doing harm to it.
Distinguishing marks
The thing w/this bracelet is there are no marks of who made it. Thats why i have no idea where it came from, its full history and what's it worth.
Condition
Good
Date Period
I estimate this to be from the 1800's period, because my great grandmother was born in the 1900's, and she had it from 3 great aunts before her.
Weight
Its not exactly light or heavy. I've never had it weighed or looked at by any antique dealers before.
