I have had this bed for over 40 years. The antique shop where my mother purchased it was small and the owner knew little to nothing about the bed. He was happy to sell it to us as another customer was interested in it and wanted to paint over the inlaid headboard which he didn't want to happen.
The bed is in excellent shape.
